This season, I delved once again into the book Christian Dior: Destiny by Marie-France Pochna*, a unique work punctuated with captivating anecdotes about the life of our founding couturier. For the Fall 2025 Baby Dior collection, I drew inspiration from pages dedicated to Milly-la-Forêt – a property with a traditional millhouse that he purchased as a green oasis, a wonderful haven of peace.
In that spirit, I conceived the line as an ode to Dior’s lifelong passion for the splendors of nature, revealed in three enchanting themes.
The first is entitled Dior Gourmandises and notably presents sublime creations in tulle embroidered and embellished with delicious treasures from the forest, like wild strawberries.
The second story, Dior Clovers, invites the young (and young-at-heart) to wander through the forest around Fontainebleau. Clover and flowers are sprinkled over a selection of exceptional pieces in an irresistible palette of greens.
Dior Beach, the final chapter in this sweet escape, evokes the warmth of the afternoon and invites children to cool off in a crystal-clear stream. Bermuda shorts, skirts and summer outfits are adorned with a madras-style pattern in vibrant shades that are slightly faded, like the promise of never-ending summer.
The starting point for the Winter 2025 season echoes the Diorling line unveiled in the late 1960s – a delightful twist on the endearing “Darling” – and celebrates the founding couturier’s love of the beauty found in the English countryside. A major influence that appears on casual looks and more formal wear alike, all made in soft, enveloping materials and finished with delightful motifs, from Prince of Wales to plaid.
An infinitely Dior adventure.
